"a punchy three and a half minutes of melodic alt-rock that comes on like Weezer playing Teenage Fanclub. In other words, it's dripping with melody and harbours a chorus so catchy you'll have it committed to memory before it's even finished" - Classic Rock Magazine
Combining post-punk, pop-rock and alt-rock sensibilities, 'Dreamer' once again showcases Wild Spelks’ impeccable ability to blend genre and create undeniably infectious soundscapes. Scuzzy, discordant guitar strums are met with pulsating drum beats and a singalong chorus that harks back to the familiar stylings of early Weezer as a result.
The brainchild of Jonathon Sabiston (guitar, drums, bass, keys, vocals), Wild Spelks was borne out of a desire to create a musical project without compromise, writing and recording all the parts himself. Wild Spelks’ two previous singles The Happy Places and Turn It Around have already received praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, CLOUT and NARC Magazine, as well as BBC Introducing Newcastle and Amazing Radio to name a few.
