CIRCA WAVES
Known for their nervy, melodic indie rock, Britain's Circa Waves first gained buzz in the 2010s with hooky singles like "Get Away" and "Stuck in My Teeth." Centered on lead singer/songwriter Kieran Shudall, the band earned favorable comparisons to the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and the Vaccines even before they hit the Top Ten with their debut, 2015's Young Chasers. Without shying away from their influences, the band has matured, and albums like 2017's Different Creatures and 2019's What's It Like Over There? showcase their deepening maturity and knack for crafting their own distinctively infectious, post-punk anthems.
THE ACADEMIC
Made up of Craig Fitzgerald, Dean Gavin, Matthew and Stephen Murtagh, The Academic grew up just outside the small rural Irish town of Mullingar, about an hour west of Dublin and set in the heart of Ireland’s midlands. Meeting in school, the quartet became firm friends through their shared of love of toasted sandwiches, Nicholas Cage movies, and of course, music, with each having their own unique influence. Bonding over a shared enthusiasm for the early 2k NYC rock revival lead by the likes of The Strokes, Interpol and Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs and the post-punk sound at that time, all made an indelible ‘watermark’ on The Academic’s reason for starting a band. From those early days at local battle of the bands competitions and playing half empty pubs on bingo night, the band now take to much larger stages across the globe. The Academic have gone on to play sell out shows and festivals across Ireland, the US, the UK and Europe, and have shared the stage with international headliners such as Twenty One Pilots, The Strokes,Catfish and the Bottlemen Debut album ‘Tales From The Backseat’ released in 2018 also reached No.1 on the official Irish album chart.
VISTAS
Scotland based Vistas, consist of vocalist Prentice Robertson, guitarist Dylan Rush and bassist Jamie Law - they’ve made their name by gigging tirelessly across the UK, with word of mouth praise of their chaotic, life-affirming live show travelling far and wide
Backed up by a host of bright, anthemic singles including ‘Retrospect’ and ‘Tigerblood’, racking up over 30 million plays for songs released in the last two years and garnering support from Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens and Annie Mac at Radio 1, the band have quickly become one of the most promising indie bands in the UK. Sold-out tours and support slots alongside the likes of The Wombats, Circa Waves and The Kooks have followed, with the band firmly making their home on the stage.
THE MAGIC GANG
Brighton indie quartet the Magic Gang were formed by members of Home School, Yrrs, and Echochamp. Comprised of Angus Taylor (bass), Jack Kaye (vocals, guitar), Kristian Smith (vocals, guitar), and Paeris Giles (drums), the band cited American band Weezer as a major influence. They put out their debut single, "Alright," in 2015, and over the following few years released three EPs and a number of singles. In 2017 they traveled to rural Oxfordshire to work on their debut record with producer Jolyon Thomas (U2, Daughter). Having signed to Warner, their self-titled debut record was released in 2018.
