Anhedonia, Casino Club & The Lags

Listen Up proudly present Anhedonia supported by Casino Club and Darrel Ashton (Northern Revelation) at 33 Oldham Street, Manchester on Saturday 4th March 2023.

ANHEDONIA

Anhedonia are a 5 piece Rock & Roll band from Blackburn, Lancashire. Made up of Ben Kirton (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Hinnigan (Vocals/Guitar), Phil McNally (Bass Guitar), Steve Smith (Drums) and Sean Berry (Keyboard).

CASINO CLUB

Casino Club are a 4 piece indie-rock band from Wigan made up of Marcus Grimshaw (vocalist/rhythm guitar), Alex Porter (Lead Guitar), Mike Grimshaw (Bass) and Stee Grimshaw (Drums)
.

The band began playing shows in the summer of 2021 and rolled into early 2022 with the release of their first official single Lose Control. This was then followed by a further 4 singles for 2022 with Can You Hear Me?, The Fear, Ride The Storm and finally Take Me Away. They also cemented this with shows all across the North West and mainly around their hometown of Wigan.

Now as 2023 is upon us the band have their eyes set on another big year. The year looks to be set for plenty of shows all across the country and also with sights set on some new music.
“Urgent, big, catchy songs you’ll be singing out loud midway through your first listen” - Gigslutz

THE LAGS

Liverpool rock band The Lags will release their fourth single ‘Get A Grip’ early next year, a follow on from their incredibly catchy, guitar-driven single ‘The Locker’.

The band comprises Dan (lead vocals), Bradley (drums), Jack (bass) and Liam (lead guitar). Liam and Dan are school friends who originally started the band with a different bass player and Dan and Bradley know each other from playing football. Their band name has an entertaining provenance: ‘We were in a taxi when a police car drove past and the taxi driver said that’s what we should call the band. “LAGS”, it’s an Aussie word for “convict”. - The Bucket Playlist
